Scrap Metals

One of our company’s primary activities is managing scrap metal. We purchase iron waste (including stainless steel), copper, brass, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. We then provide sorting, treatment, and other services related to scrap metal processing. ARCIMPEX buys scrap metal from large manufacturing companies as well as small suppliers and individuals. Our services include delivering containers, loading scrap, removal, and weighing.

Alumann GmbH supplies scrap metal to foundries throughout Austria and delivers substantial quantities to smelters in Poland, Italy, Germany, Slovakia, and other European countries. Each year, Alumann GmbH provides up to 150,000 tons of secondary raw materials to manufacturing and trading companies.

Offer scrap metals

Since our company purchases and processes all kinds of scrap metal, we also offer a full range of related services. We use our own freight transport containers for material delivery. Alumann GmbH has its own railway siding, which can be used to transport, hand over, and dispatch metal scrap. We deliver scrap metal not only to customers within Austria but also throughout Europe.

Supplies scrap metals

Our company processes scrap metal primarily by cutting and pressing using two hydraulic shears. Alumann GmbH has an extensive array of technical equipment, including grab loaders, load electromagnets, trucks, container systems, autogenous and plasma CNC cutting machines, and cable peelers.

Alumann GmbH utilizes its own shipping containers for material transport and has its own railway siding for receiving and dispatching materials.

The chemical composition of metallic materials is verified using Delta brand spectrometers, allowing us to produce detailed reports on measurement results. We also conduct automatic radiation measurements for iron scrap.

Alumann GmbH offers dismantling and disposal services for technological units, production and transport equipment, and other facilities associated with metal waste, including demolition work.

We hold a trade license for waste management and trading, with operating rules for all facilities approved by regional authorities. Our company has all necessary permits and certificates required to provide comprehensive services in the purchase, sorting, and treatment of scrap metal.

For all our services, particularly in waste management, we ensure strict compliance with legal and other requirements related to environmental protection, pollution prevention, safety, and hygiene. This comprehensive approach has earned us the EN ISO 14001 environmental management system certification.

Additionally, we supply scrap iron to our business partners not just as waste but as a raw material. We hold a quality management system certificate in accordance with Article 6 of Council Regulation (EU) No. 333/2011. We also have approved operating rules that specify the criteria for when iron and steel scrap ceases to be waste and becomes a raw material for metal production.

We purchase metal waste from wholesalers and citizens at our facilities in Grafenstein.

Alumann GmbH also offers the liquidation of technological units and equipment. If needed, our employees can visit your site to discuss potential cooperation.

For freight transport, we use our own container transport fleet, which includes 8 modern MAN and Volvo trucks capable of handling all types of containers (Abroll, Bikram, Tatra). Separate loading of products is also possible. Our vehicles are equipped with hydraulic arms capable of loading materials up to 3.5 tons per piece. Customers can also rent our transport services for their own needs. Most of our company’s vehicles meet the EURO6 emission standard.

Our company owns a Schenck Process DFT-E road scale, capable of weighing cars and car sets up to 18 meters in length and up to 60 tons. We also provide commercial weighing services. For smaller amounts of material (especially non-ferrous metals and alloy steel), we use digital scales with a range up to 1000 kg and 100 kg with an accuracy of 0.2 kg.

We use two Taurus scissor blades for scrap metal processing and autogenous burners for metal waste separation.

Our metal waste treatment area spans 27,000 m2, with paved handling and storage areas that are impermeable and drained through an oil separator.

For material handling at the scrap yard, we use 6 modern Sennebogen hydraulic loaders equipped with grabs or load electromagnets as needed.

We use Delta X-ray spectrometers to accurately determine the chemical composition of scrap, especially alloyed and stainless steel materials.

To ensure the received waste does not contain radioactive material, we use a RadEye dosimeter from Thermo Fisher Scientific.
